A lotta bacon grease to wet your palm

My hand right after I burned it

My hand after blisters started forming
Last week I was home with two sick kids. I normally buy microwave bacon but I was in the mood for greasy raw cooked in its greases bacon. So I had put a roaster pan with the bacon in the oven. It was time to get it out so I grabbed the pan with my right mitted hand and as I was pulling it out it tilted to the left and all the hot bacon grease poured into my open right hand and wrist. Talk about pain. I would birth a couple more kids before I did this again! A week later the blisters have popped and it is scaly. And itchy! Trying to keep it mosturized.

Pretty lake trail near my house

Somehow I started 2 seperate blogs so when I posted the last time it went to this link so here is where it will stay. On the other blog I had a post from a year ago hence the reference to a year ago. Oh well. It was nothing of importance just how I was going to lose weight, exercise, blah, blah, blah. I did lose some weight but then found it again. I did start running 2 weeks ago. I don't hate it but I have yet to love it. My friend inspired me. He was overweight then started running and counting calories. Now he looks fabulous and runs marathons. I have no desire to run any marathons. I just want a runner's body.

Tomorrow will be a year!

La Paz, Bolivia

Brugge, Belgium

Silent Hill nurse, DragonCon, ATL
Pirate, Columbus, GA
Well, I started this blog a year ago tomorrow. And this marks my second post! I guess in some aspects I am a procrastinator. What do we want? PROCRASTINATION! When do we want it? NEXT WEEK! I have one friend whose blog is perfect. Her prose is beautifully written. She inserts the perfect photos. Let's see.....this past year has been a good ride. Went to Bolivia in April. Went to Belgium in July. Went to DragonCon in August. I did a pirate festival in October. Life is good. I like to always have something to look forward to. My next thing is back to Bolivia in January. Where is your next adventure?
